Be My Wife.

Be My Wife is the musical project of Paris-based creative and art director Federico Nessi. Drawing on more than twenty years of experience in performance, fashion, visual arts and creative direction, the project emerged in 2023 as a true collision between music, aesthetics and performance.

More than simply a music project, Be My Wife is built as a persona and a fully-fledged artistic universe, existing at the intersection of music, fashion, theatre, imagery and nightlife. Federico Nessi deliberately blurs the boundaries between character and musician, glamour and strangeness, intimacy and theatricality.

Musically, Be My Wife draws from the DNA of 20th-century counterculture: post-punk, no wave, new wave, industrial, gothic pop and the DIY spirit of the underground. These influences meet the dramatic elegance of the classic crooner, creating a dark, hypnotic and deeply visual universe driven by synths, a distinctive voice, and an unapologetic sense of romance and melodrama.

With influences ranging from David Bowie, Gary Numan, Daniel Ash, Marc Almond and Dave Gahan, Be My Wife is not interested in simply reproducing a legacy, but in creating its own collision between music, image and performance.

A free, theatrical and instinctive project, where aesthetics become a language and every appearance contributes to the construction of a singular universe.
